SNIP Clinic Team

Lisa, Clinic Director / CVT

Lisa is Clinic Director for SNIP Clinic. Lisa grew up on a ranchette in Buellton, California in a virtual Noah’s Ark, surrounded by two of every animal imaginable, from doves to horses (although no cow). She always had a cat and two large German Shepherds by her side. Eventually her family’s adventures moved her to a small town in Southern Idaho to run a 450 head cattle ranch (now too many cows) because her father wanted to be a “real” cowboy. Lisa spent many years on her Black and White Tobiano half draft mare, Paint, tending to the herd (interestingly, Paint mysteriously showed up in their cow pasture one day in 1999).

Ultimately, her love for animals led her to become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) through the College of Southern Idaho, where she was chosen as Class President and Vice President of the Vet Tech Club. Lisa has worked as a Clinic Manager for a day practice in Austin, Texas, and as lead CVT for large and small animal emergency and specialty practices. Eventually, Lisa’s extensive animal-related experience translated into claims adjusting especially difficult claims as a Senior Claims Adjuster for a local prominent pet health insurance company. Over this time in the valley, Lisa has developed a strong personal network of other non profit careerists.

Currently, Lisa resides in the Treasure Valley with her pets, a German Shepherd named Django, a Papillon named Mika and a Maine Coon mix dubbed Snax Pax Puddin Packs. Lisa’s childhood horse, Paint, is still running the range on her family ranch. Lisa is thrilled to be part of such an important stage of a pet’s life at SNIP Clinic.
